#Education Qualification - Essential Minimum Prescribed Qualification:

Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for NTPC categories.
50% marks is not insisted upon in the case of SC/ST/ Ex. Servicemen / Persons With Disabilities (PwBD) candidates and in case of candidates who possess qualifications higher than the essential minimum prescribed qualification.

Note: Individuals appointed to the Clerk-cum-Typist role must attain a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi within two years of their appointment. Until achieving this proficiency, their status in the Clerk-cum-Typist category remains provisional.

Essential Professional Qualification:
  • FEMALE DANCER - Degree/Diploma - Certificate in any classical dance from Government recognized institute
  • FEMALE SINGER - Degree/Diploma - Certificate in Vocal music (Classical / Light) from Government recognized institute

(i)

For all candidates except thosementioned in sub-para (ii) below Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) with a provision for refunding Rs. 400/- to those who are found eligible as per notification and actually appear in the Written Test after deducting bankcharges.


(ii)

For candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Persons with Disability (40% & above) / Women / minorities* and Economically Backward Class** Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) with a provision for refunding the same to those who are found eligible as per notification and actually appear in the Written Test after deducting bankcharges.

Note:

# The candidates having no professional qualification as per above need not apply. 

# Before applying, for the above post candidates should satisfy themselves that they have the requisite qualifications from recognized Board / University / Institute as on the date of closure for online submission of the application against this notification. Those awaiting results of the final examination for the prescribed qualification are not eligible and hence should not apply. 

# Notified posts as per Para 1 are open to all candidates as specified therein and candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / PwBD / Ex. Service Man categories who apply against this notification will be extended relaxation as admissible in a general open market recruitment. However, in case of being selected with any relaxation on account of being a candidate from the above categories, he/she will be taken against reserved roster point. In case the relevant Caste certificates uploaded are not found to be valid, such candidates fulfilling norms of General category will be treated as UR. 

# Only the candidates qualified in the Written Test as per merit shall be called for Practical Demonstration. 

# Merely registering / filling up online application on RRC-WR website does not entitle the candidate to be eligible for Written Test. 

# Candidates are advised to keep their personal mobile number and personal valid e-mail active throughout the recruitment process, as all communications from RRC-WR will be only through Website/SMS/email. RRC-WR will not entertain any request for change of mobile number and e-mail address at any stage. Dates for various stages of recruitment process shall be intimated through RRC-WR website only and candidates are advised to visit RRC WR website https://www.rrc-wr.com regularly for further updates as there can be failure in delivery of SMS/E-mail to the candidates due to reasons beyond the control of RRC 

# Candidature of the applicant is provisional at all stages of selection process subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions.

Candidate for appointment to Railway Services must be:

(a) a citizen of India , or 
(b) a subject of Nepal, or 
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or 
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, the East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania or from Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favors a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Written Test of Railway Recruitment



For the above recruitment, the Questions will be objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include:-

ONLINE APPLICATION

Candidates should be in possession of Aadhaar Card. At the time of registration, candidates have to fill 12 digits Aadhaar Card number. The candidates not having Aadhaar number and have enrolled for Aadhaar but have not received Aadhaar Card can enter 28 digits Aadhaar Enrolment ID printed on the Aadhaar Enrolment slip.

This provision is applicable to the candidates of all states and Union Territories exceptthe state of Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya and Assam. Applicants from these statescan enter in the online application form, their voter ID number, valid passport number, driving license number or any other valid Government identity card at the time ofonline application.

Candidates have to produce original Aadhaar card or document mentioned above, atthe time of Document Verification.

The recruitment will be based on the Written Test / CBT followed by a Practical Demonstration and Document Verification. Candidates recommended for appointment will have to undergo medical examination and should be found fit and should have requisite Medical Fitness as per the Medical Classification prescribed for the selected post.

The eligible candidates will be called for Written Test / CBT. The qualified candidates as per merit position in Written Test will be called for Practical Demonstration. The candidates, who are found eligible in all respects, will be considered on the following basis.

Written Test will consist of Objective Type Questions.

There will be negative marking in the Written Test and 1/3rd of the marksallotted for the question will be deducted for every wrong answer.

(Minimum percentage of marks to qualify in the Written Test various categories:UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%) 50 marks

Talent Test in the relevant field with Practical Demonstration 35 Marks

Confirmation of Talent by Testimonials / Certificates / Awards 15 Marks

Total : 100 Marks

The date, time and venue of Written Test/CBT, Practical Demonstration / Document Verification will be fixed by the RRC-WR and will be uploaded on RRC-WR website/SMS/e-mail only. Request for postponement of the Written Test/ CBT, Practical Demonstration / Document Verification will not be entertained under any circumstances.

The question paper shall be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The question paper willbe in English and Hindi.

The Written Test / CBT shall be of 45 Minutes duration.

Candidates will have to write the paragraph provided, sign and affix LTI at the venue ofthe Written Test/CBT in the presence of the Invigilator at the Examination Hall ONLY and hand over the same to the Invigilator before the conclusion of the examination. Candidates writing the paragraph provided and / or signing in CAPITAL letters will be rejected.

RRC-WR will not entertain any request for any change in examination centre, dateand session allotted to provisionally eligible candidate(s).

Candidates should read the details and instructions on the e-Call letter carefully and follow them scrupulously. Failure to comply with the instructions may lead to cancellation of their candidature.
